I'm a second-year honors student studying computer science at Sheffield Hallam University.
I’m passionate about computer security, hardware, and programming. Outside of my studies, I enjoy building computers, playing Stardew Valley, and playing the piano. Since moving to the United Kingdom in 2022, I’ve been focused on my undergraduate degree, and I plan to pursue a master’s in AI and cybersecurity afterward.
I am currently a Computer Science student at Sheffield Hallam University in the United Kingdom. Transitioning to this degree after my first year was initially daunting, but I have thoroughly enjoyed every moment. My first lecture sparked a mix of excitement and intimidation, especially as I had no prior coding experience, while many of my peers did. This motivated me to learn as much as possible.
During my first year, I completed multiple projects that contributed to my achievement of a first-class final grade, a significant milestone as an international student. Now in my second year, I am focusing on learning C++ and Python. In addition to developing these technical skills, I have greatly enhanced my communication and teamwork abilities. I feel fortunate to have learned from my exceptional peers and lecturers, who have truly enriched my university experience.
I completed my first year in Business Management before deciding to switch to Computer Science.
During that year, I wrote a business analysis report on NVIDIA, studied accounting-related mathematics, and developed skills in communication and decision-making in a professional context. This background in business bridged the gap between my coding skills and the entrepreneurial knowledge necessary for launching a startup in the future. I gained valuable insights into market research and financial management.
Combining this experience with what I learned in my second semester of Computer Science has deepened my understanding of how to transform my coding projects into a viable business.
Since 2021, I have been working remotely as an Intern at Dockridge Digital Inc., a company specializing in digital solutions. In this role, I manage communications and correspondence, perform bookkeeping and financial record-keeping, and assist with various administrative tasks, all aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and team productivity.
I communicate student feedback to faculty and departmental staff to enhance course modules, support peers in accessing resources, and organize events, including the autumn social for the computing department.
As Vice President of the Computing Society at Sheffield Hallam, I successfully coordinated meetings and maintained clear communication with members. I also contributed significantly to the society's growth by hosting and promoting engaging social events.
n my role, I perform front-of-house duties, operate the till and coffee machine, and prepare small food items. I deliver exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment, as Clumber Park is the busiest National Trust site.
